and He appointed twelve to be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach the gospel,

And after six days, Jesus taketh Peter, and James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up to a high mountain apart;

And the apostles came together to Jesus, and told Him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught. And He said to them, Come ye yourselves apart into a retired place, and rest a little: for there were many coming and going, and they had not time even to eat. And they went away privately in a ship into a desert place.

And the apostles; when they were returned, told Him all that they had done: and He took them and retired privately into a desert place belonging to the city Bethsaida.

and began to tell them, that the Son of man must suffer much; and be rejected by the elders, and chief priests, and scribes; and be put to death: and after three days rise again.

At that time came the disciples to Jesus, saying, Who is to be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? And Jesus calling to Him a little child, set it in the midst of them, and said, Verily I declare unto you, unless ye be converted, and become like little children, ye shall never enter into the kingdom of heaven.read more.
Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, he shall be greatest in the kingdom of heaven:

And when He was apart from the multitude, those that were about Him with the twelve asked Him concerning the parable. And he said unto them, To you it is granted to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but unto them that are without all things are delivered in parables: that in seeing they may see and not perceive, and in hearing they may hear and not understand, least they should be converted, and their sins be forgiven them.

till the day in which He was taken up, after He had by the holy Spirit given instructions to the apostles whom He had chosen:

And He called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases: and He sent them forth to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. And He said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; nor two coats a piece.read more.
And into whatever house ye enter, continue there, till ye leave that place. And whosoever will not receive you, when ye depart from that city, shake off the very dust from your feet, for a testimony against them. And they went from town to town, preaching the gospel and healing every where.

These twelve did Jesus send forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not among the gentiles, neither enter into any city of the Samaritans: but go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand: and in confirmation of your doctrine heal the sick,read more.
cleanse the leprous, raise the dead, cast out demons; and as ye have received freely, freely give. Take not gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses: take no bag for your journey, nor two coats, nor shoes, nor weapons; for the laborer is worthy of his food.

And He calleth unto Him the twelve, and sent them forth two and two, and gave them power over impure spirits; and ordered them to take nothing for their journey, but a staff only; no bag, nor bread, nor money in their purse: but to tie on their sandals, and not to put on two coats.read more.
And He said unto them, wheresoever ye enter into a house, there stay till ye leave that place. And whosoever will not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for Sodom or Gomorrah in the day of judgement, than for that city. And they went forth, and preached that men should repent. And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.

and He appointed twelve to be with Him, and that He might send them forth to preach the gospel, and to have power to heal diseases, and to cast out demons;

But ye shall receive power from the holy Spirit coming upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the uttermost part of the earth.

And we are witnesses of all things that He did, both in the country of Judea, and in the city of Jerusalem: whom notwithstanding they put to death, hanging Him on a tree.

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me both in heaven and on earth. Go ye therefore and instruct all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Ghost, and teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen.

And He said unto them, Go to all the world and preach the gospel to every one:

and said unto them, thus it is written, and thus it was necessary that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead on the third day; and that in his name should be preached repentance and remission of sins to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. And ye are witnesses of these things: and I will send upon you the promise of my Father;read more.
but do ye continue in the city of Jerusalem, till ye are endued with power from on high.

As Thou hast sent me into the world, so have I also sent them into the world.

Then said Jesus unto them again, Peace be to you. As my Father sent me, even so send I you.
