For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

Take heed to yourselves; if your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
And we urge you, brethren, admonish the idlers, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with everyone.
If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of that person and do not associate with him, so that he may be ashamed. Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but warn him as a brother.
