and I give to them eternal life; and they shall never perish, nor shall any one snatch them out of My hand.

I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his soul for the sheep.

even as the Father knoweth Me, and I know the Father; and I lay down My soul for the sheep.

Then Jesus saith to them, "All ye will be made to stumble because of Me this night; for it has been written, 'I will smite the Shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered abroad.'

And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they will hear My voice; and they shall become one flock, one Shepherd.

Now the God of peace, Who brought up from the dead the Great Shepherd of the sheep, in virtue of the blood of an eternal covenant, even our Lord Jesus,

To him the porter opens, and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. When he drives out all his own, he goes on before them, and the sheep follow him; because they know his voice.

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;
