The heavens are the heavens of Jehovah, but the earth hath he given to the children of men.

He stretcheth out the north over empty space, he hangeth the earth upon nothing;

And God said, Let there be an expanse in the midst of the waters, and let it be a division between waters and waters. And God made the expanse, and divided between the waters that are under the expanse and the waters that are above the expanse; and it was so.

For the anxious looking out of the creature expects the revelation of the sons of God: for the creature has been made subject to vanity, not of its will, but by reason of him who has subjected the same, in hope that the creature itself also shall be set free from the bondage of corruption into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. read more.
For we know that the whole creation groans together and travails in pain together until now.

He was in the world, and the world had its being through him, and the world knew him not.

For thus saith Jehovah who created the heavens, God himself who formed the earth and made it, he who established it, not as waste did he create it: he formed it to be inhabited: I am Jehovah, and there is none else.
