And he said to them, Ye are they who justify yourselves before men: but God knoweth your hearts: And that which is highly esteemed among men, is an abomination before God.
And he spake this parable to certain who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others. Two men went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for every one that exalteth himself shall be humbled, and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Righteous Father, tho' the world hath not known thee, yet I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
For the righteousness of God is revealed therein from faith to faith; as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Therefore no flesh shall be justified in his sight by the works of the law; for by the law is the knowledge of sin. But the righteousness of God without the law is now manifested, being attested by the law and the prophets,
We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Even we (knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ) have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law; because by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.
For I say to you, That unless your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no wise enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Therefore no flesh shall be justified in his sight by the works of the law; for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
I do not make void the grace of God; for if righteousness is by the law, then Christ died in vain.
This only would I learn of you, Did you receive the Spirit, by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are ye so thoughtless? Having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
But when Peter came to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be condemned.
Christ is become of no effect to you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Though I might have confidence: if any man think that he may have confidence in the flesh, I more: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews, touching the law, a Pharisee; Touching zeal, persecuting the church, touching the righteousness, which is by the law, blameless.read more.
