All these died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and embraced them, and confest that they were strangers and sojourners on the earth.

But these are written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye may have life thro' his name.

That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us, that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

That the trial of your faith, which is much more precious than gold, (that perisheth, tho' it be tried with fire) may be found unto praise, and honour, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

Happy is the man that endureth temptation: for when he hath been proved, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

But let patience have it's perfect work,

and considereth it not, the wicked one cometh, and catcheth away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the way-side. But he who received the seed in stony places, is he that heareth the word, and immediately receiveth it with joy. Yet hath he not root in himself, and so endureth but for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, straight-way he is offended. read more.
He that received the seed among the thorns, is he that heareth the word: and the care of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

By faith Abraham, being called to go out into the place which he was to receive for an inheritance, obeyed and went out, not knowing whither he went.

By faith Abraham, being tried, offered up Isaac, and he that had received the promises, offered up his only begotten son:

Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Jesus saith to him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

And Jesus said to the centurion, Go thy way, and as thou hast believed, be it to thee. And his servant was healed in that hour.

Then he touched their eyes, saying, Be it unto you, according to your faith. And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief. For verily I say to you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustardseed, ye shall say to this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place, and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible to you.

Jesus answering said to them, Verily I say to you, if ye have faith and doubt not, ye shall not only do this to the fig-tree, but also if ye shall say to this mountain, Be thou lifted up, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ:

And by him every one that believeth is justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

But the righteousness of God without the law is now manifested, being attested by the law and the prophets, Even the righteousness of God, by the faith of Jesus Christ, to all and upon all that believe; for there is no difference:

Nay, but by the law of faith. We conclude then, that a man is justified by faith, without the works of the law.

and not sinners of the Gentiles, Even we (knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ) have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law; because by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.

This also is of God. For to you it is given, with regard to Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him:

And I say, through the grace which is given to me, to every one that is among you, not to think of himself above what he ought to think, but to think soberly, according to the measure of faith which God hath distributed to every one.

For by grace ye are saved through faith; and this not of yourselves:

Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

When he had ceased speaking, he said to Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. But Simon answering said to him, Master, Having toiled all the night, we have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word, I will let down the net.

) That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

In whom ye likewise believed, after ye had heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom having believed, ye were also sealed by that Holy Spirit of promise,

And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, even as on us at the beginning. Then I remembered the word of the Lord, how he said, John indeed baptized with water, but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost. If then God gave to them the same gift as even to us, having believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who was I that could withstand God?

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love.

Whereas the end of the commandment is love, out of a pure heart and a good conscience, and faith unfeigned,

Verily, verily I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works which I do, shall he do also; and greater than these shall he do, because I go to my Father.

If ye continue in the faith, grounded and settled, and are not removed from the hope of the gospel which ye have heard, which is preached to every creature that is under heaven, whereof I Paul am made a minister.

For the scripture saith, Every one that believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

And not being weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, being about an hundred years old, nor the deadness of Sarah's womb. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, read more.

And when he was come into an house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? And he said to them, This kind can come forth by nothing but by prayer and fasting.

And when he was come into the vessel, his disciples followed him. And behold there arose a great tempest in the sea, so that the vessel was covered with the waves. But he was asleep. And his disciples coming to him awoke him, saying, Lord, save us; we perish. read more.

And he said to them, Where is your faith? But they were afraid and wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this? For he commandeth even the winds and the water, and they obey him. And they sailed to the country of the Gadarenes, which is over-against Galilee.

So likewise faith, if it hath not works, is dead in itself.

Therefore as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

But art thou willing to know, O empty man, that faith without works is dead?

Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season. Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he looked off unto the recompence of reward. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one who seeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

That whosoever believeth on him, may not perish, but have everlasting life.

And the father of the circumcision, to them who not only are of the circumcision, but also walk in the footsteps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had in uncircumcision.

I am crucified with Christ, and I live no longer, but Christ liveth in me, and the life that I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

But ye, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying thro' the Holy Spirit.

And behold a woman of Canaan, of those coasts, came and cried to him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David: my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away, for she crieth after us. For a woman whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, having heard of him, came and fell at his feet, (The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation) and besought him to cast the devil out of her daughter. But Jesus said to her, Let the children first be satisfied; for it is not right to take the childrens bread and cast it to the dogs. read more.
She answered and said to him, True, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs. And he said to her, For this saying, go: the devil is gone out of thy daughter. And going to her house, she found the devil gone out and her daughter lying on the bed.

Wherefore, Sirs, take courage: for I trust in God, that it shall be even as it hath been spoken to me.

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,

Whom God hath set forth as a propitiation, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness by the remission of past sins, through the forbearance of God: For a demonstration,

To him give all the prophets witness, that every one who believeth in him, shall receive forgiveness of sins through his name.

Whom having not seen, ye love: in whom tho' ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory, Receiving the end of your faith, the salvation of your souls.

and the Gentiles, to whom I now send thee, To open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God; that they may receive through faith which is in me, forgiveness of sins, and an inheritance among them that are sanctified.

And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

Saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

By faith Rahab the harlot did not perish with them that believed not, having received the spies with peace.

By faith Abraham, being called to go out into the place which he was to receive for an inheritance, obeyed and went out, not knowing whither he went.

And Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed on the Lord with all his house; and many of the Corinthians, hearing, believed and were baptized.

Whether therefore I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.

To another faith by the same Spirit;

Examine yourselves, whether ye are in the faith: prove yourselves. Do ye not know yourselves? That Jesus Christ is in you? unless ye are reprobates.

Therefore as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

By faith Moses, when he was born, was hid three months, by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child, and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.
