Because ye are still carnal: for while there is among you envy and strife and divisions, are ye not carnal, and do ye not walk as men? For when one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos, are ye not carnal? Who then is Paul, and who is Apollos, but ministers by whose means ye embraced the faith, even as the Lord gave success to each of them? read more.
I have planted, Apollos watered: but God gave the increase. So that neither he that planteth is any thing, nor he that watereth, but God that giveth the increase. And he that planteth, and he that watereth, are as one: but each shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. For we are fellow-laborers, the servants of God: and ye are the husbandry of God, ye are the building of God.

And I heard a voice from heaven, saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead, that die in the Lord, from henceforth: yea, saith the Spirit, for they rest from their labors and their works do follow them.

And upon this occasion Jesus opened his mouth and said, "I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and knowing, and hast revealed them to babes: even so, Father, for it was thy good pleasure that so it should be." Come unto me therefore all ye who are labouring and oppressed, and I will give you ease. Take but my yoke upon you, and learn of me, (for I am meek and lowly in heart,) and ye shall find refreshment to your souls: for my yoke is easy, and my burthen is light.

and endeavour to be quiet, and mind your own affairs, and work with your own hands, as we gave you in charge, that ye may walk decently toward those that are without, and may have need of no one's assistance.

Let him that stole steal no more; but rather let him labour, doing some good with his hands, that he may have something to bestow on him that hath need of it.

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, be stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, since ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

Carry neither purse, nor bag, nor shoes; and salute no one by the way. Now Jesus went round to all the cities, and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom of heaven, and healing every disease, and every malady among the people. And when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion towards them; because they were dispersed and scattered like sheep that have no shepherd: upon which He saith to his disciples, The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers few: read more.

Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled. Labour not so much for the meat that perisheth, but rather for that food which endureth unto life eternal, which the Son of man will give you: for Him hath God the Father sealed.

According to the grace of God given to me, as a wise architect I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon: but let every one see to it how he buildeth thereon. For no one can lay any other foundation, but that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ: and if any build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, or wood, hay, stubble; read more.
every man's work shall be made manifest. For the great day will shew it; because it will be discovered by fire, and the fire will prove every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide, which he hath built upon it, he shall receive a reward: but if any man's work be burnt, he will be damaged; though he himself shall be saved, but, as it were out of fire.

neither did we eat any one's bread for nothing; but with labor and toil, working night and day, that we might not be burthensome to any of you.

for it is God that worketh in you both to will, and to work, out of his own good-pleasure.
