But Paul answered, What do ye mean, weeping and breaking my heart? for I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
And they have overcome him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their life unto the death.
He that would save his life shall lose it; and he, that loseth his life for my sake, shall find it.
Then Peter replied and said unto Him, Behold we have quitted all and have followed thee; what then shall we have? And Jesus said unto them, Verily I tell you, that ye who have followed me, in the regeneration, when the son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon the twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel: yea and every one who hath left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, shall receive an hundred-fold, and shall inherit eternal life.
Then Peter said to Him, Behold we have left all, and followed thee. And Jesus answered and said, Verily I tell you, there is no one that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my sake and the gospel's, but he shall receive an hundred-fold: now in this time indeed, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands with persecutions; but in the world to come life everlasting.
Then said Peter, Behold, we have quitted all, and followed Thee. And He said unto them, Verily I tell you, there is no one that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who shall not receive manifold more even in this life, and in the world to come life everlasting.
for he that would save his life, shall lose it; but he that would lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, shall save it.
nor ribaldry, nor buffoonery, nor wanton jesting, which are not meet: but rather giving of thanks.
Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious in nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known before God.read more.
And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught it, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
And let the peace of God preside in your hearts, to which ye are also called as united in one body: and be thankful for it.
Wherefore since we receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us have grace whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and holy fear:
