And Jacob's well was there. Now Jesus was tired with his journey, and sat down at the well: and it was about the sixth hour of the day,
And He was in the stern asleep on a pillow: and they awake Him, and say unto Him, Master, art thou under no concern that we are perishing?
And He said to them, Come ye yourselves apart into a retired place, and rest a little: for there were many coming and going, and they had not time even to eat.
and Jesus answered him, The foxes have holes, and the fowls of heaven their nests, but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.
Come unto me therefore all ye who are labouring and oppressed, and I will give you ease. Take but my yoke upon you, and learn of me, (for I am meek and lowly in heart,) and ye shall find refreshment to your souls: for my yoke is easy, and my burthen is light.
therefore I say unto you, be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not life more than food, and the body than raiment? Look at the birds of the air; they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns: and yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye preferable to them? And which of you by all his thought can add one cubit to his stature?read more.
And why are ye sollicitous about raiment? consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: and yet I tell you, that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothe the grass of the field, which is growing to-day, and to-morrow is cast into the fire, will He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or how shall we be clothed? (things which the heathens are so inquisitive after) for your heavenly Father knows that ye have need of all these. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these shall be superadded unto you. Be not therefore sollicitous about the morrow; for the morrow will require thought for its own affairs: sufficient to each day is its own trouble.
Be anxious in nothing: but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known before God. And the peace of God, which surpasseth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, my brethren, farewel: be reformed, be exhorted, be of one mind, live in peace: and the God of love and peace will be with you.
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye would all say alike, and that there may be no schisms among you, but that ye be perfectly united in the same mind and in the same judgement.
and endeavour to be quiet, and mind your own affairs, and work with your own hands,
Follow peace with all men; and holiness, without which none shall see the Lord:
But the wisdom that is from above first is pure, then peaceable, mild, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace for those that promote peace.
Finally, my beloved, be unanimous, be sympathizing, love as brethren, be compassionate, be courteous:
And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now almost full. And He was in the stern asleep on a pillow: and they awake Him, and say unto Him, Master, art thou under no concern that we are perishing?
and behold a great tempest rose on the sea, so that the vessel was even covered by the waves; but He was asleep. And His disciples came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, Lord save us, for we are perishing: and He saith unto them,
And they launched forth: but as they were failing, He fell asleep: and a storm of wind came down upon the lake, and they were filled with water, and were in great danger. And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, Master, master, we are perishing. Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and there was a calm.
Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or how shall we be clothed?
And seek ye not what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; neither be ye in careful suspense:
casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.

Take heed to yourselves, least at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting and drunkenness, and the cares of life, and so that day should come upon you unawares:
For when we came into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were afflicted on every side; without were fightings, within were fears.
in labor and toil, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness: and beside these outward troubles,
