And, seeing it, they were all murmuring, saying, "He went in to be guest with a sinful man!"

And the scribes and the Pharisees bring to Him a woman taken in adultery; and, having placed her in the midst,

And those passing by railed on Him, wagging their beads, and saying, "Aha! Thou Who destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days! save Thyself, coming down from the cross!" In like manner the high priests, mocking Him among themselves with the scribes, said, "He saved others; Himself He cannot save!read more.
Let the Christ, the King of Israel now come down from the cross, that we may see, and believe!" And those who were crucified with Him were reproaching Him.

In my first defense, no one stood by me, but all forsook me. May it not be laid to their account!

And, as He came near to the gate of the city, behold, also there was being carried out one dead, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a large crowd of the city was with her.

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, "A voice in Ramah was heard, weeping and great mourning; Rachel, weeping for her children; and she was not willing to be comforted, because they are not."

Now she that is really a widow, and left alone, has set her hope on God, and continues in supplications and prayers, night and day.

And, when He went forth on the land, there met Him a certain man out of the city, who had demons, and for a long time he had worn no clothing; and he abode not in a house, but in the tombs.

And, when He came out of the boat, straightway there met Him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, who had his dwelling in the tombs; and no one could any longer bind him, not even with a chain;

And Jesus asked him, "What is your name?" And he said, "Legion," (because many demons entered into him).

And He asked him, "What is your name?" And he says to Him, "My name is Legion, because we are many."

And a certain man, lame from his mother's womb, was being carried along, whom they were wont to lay daily at the gate of the temple??hich was called "Beautiful"??o ask alms of those entering the temple;

And, as they were going forth, behold, they have brought to Him a dumb man, a demoniac;

Then there was brought to Him a demoniac, blind, and dumb; and He healed him, so that the dumb man spake and saw.

And, as He was entering into a certain village, there met Him ten leprous men, who stood afar off;

And, when he spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that country; and he began to be in want. And, going his way, he attached himself to one of the citizens of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he was longing to be filled with the pods which the swine were eating; and no one was giving to him.

For I am persuaded that, neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem; and Jesus was going before them. And they were being amazed: and those following Him were being terrified. And, again taking with Him the twelve, He began to tell them the things about to happen to Him:

And, when about to go up to Jerusalem, Jesus took with Him the twelve disciples privately, and on the way He said to them, "Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the high-priests and scribes; and they will condemn Him to death; and will deliver Him up to the gentiles, to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify; and, on the third day, He will be raised up "

Apart from those things without, that which is a pressure upon me daily, anxiety for all the assemblies.

And, about the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, "ELI, ELI, LAMA SABACHTHANI?" that is, "My God! My God! Why didst Thou forsake Me?"

And, the sixth hour having come, there was darkness upon the whole land until the ninth hour. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with aloud voice, "ELOI, ELOI, LAMA SABACHTHANI!" which is, being interpreted, "My God! My God! why didst Thou forsake Me!"

Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness, to he tempted by the Devil. And, having fasted forty days and forty nights, He afterwards hungered.

And Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was being led in the Spirit in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by the Devil. And He ate nothing in those days; and, when they were completed, He hungered.

And, having dismissed the multitudes, He went up into the mountain, apart, to pray; and, evening coming on, He was there alone.

And all in the synagogue were filled with wrath, on hearing these things; and, rising up, they cast Him forth out of the city, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built, to throw Him down headlong; but He, passing through their midst, was going His way.

Jesus, therefore, said to the twelve, "Do ye also wish to go away?"

Behold, an hour is coming, and has come, that ye should be scattered, each to his own, and leave Me alone; and I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

But when you pray, enter into your closet; and, having closed your door, pray to your Father Who is in secret; and your Father Who seeth in secret will recompense you.

And, going forward a little, He fell on His face, praying, and saying, "My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from Me: nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt."

And, having risen very early, by night, He went out into a desert place, and was there praying.

And straightway He constrained His disciples to enter into the boat, and to go before to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He Himself sendeth the multitude away. And, having taken leave of them, He went away into the mountain to pray.

I, John, your brother, and fellow-sharer in the tribulation, and kingdom, and patience in Jesus, was in the island called Patmos, because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

And after six days Jesus taketh with Him Peter, and James, and John, and bringeth them up into a high mountain apart by themselves; and He was transfigured before them.

I know a man in Christ, fourteen years ago (whether in the body I know not, or whether out of the body I know not, God knoweth), such a one caught up even to the Third Heaven. And I know such a man (whether in the body, or apart from the body, I know not, God knoweth), that he was caught up into Paradise, and heard unutterable sayings, which it is not lawful for a man to speak.

And He saith to them, "Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest yourselves a little." For there were many coming and going, and they were not finding opportunity even to eat. And they went away in the boat to a desert place apart.

"Come to me, all ye who are laboring and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
