how shall we escape, having neglected so great salvation; which, indeed, having at first been spoken through the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard; God testifying with them, both with signs and wonders and manifold miracles, and distributions of the Holy Spirit, according to His will?

and on my behalf that utterance may be given to me, in opening my mouth to make known with boldness the mystery of the Gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

and before the governors and the kings shall ye be brought for My sake, for a testimony to them and to the gentiles. And the Gospel must first be preached to all the nations. And, before all these things, they will lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up into the synagogues and prisons, being brought before kings and governors for My name's sake. It shall result to you for a testimony. Settle it, therefore, in your hearts, not to meditate beforehand how to make a defense;read more.

And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him. Those, therefore, who were dispersed, went about, proclaiming the good tidings of the word. And Philip, having come down to the city of Samaria, preached to them the Christ.

Now I wish you to know, brethren, that the things relating to me have resulted rather in the furtherance of the Gospel; that my bonds became manifest in Christ in the whole praetorium, and to all the rest; and that the greater part of the brethren, having become confident in the Lord by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word of God without fear.
