Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might.

And, behold, I send forth the promise of My Father upon you; but abide ye in the city, until ye be clothed with power from on high."

but ye shall receive power, the Holy Spirit having come upon you, and ye shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and Samaria, and to the utmost limit of the earth."

that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit as to the inward man;

Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God our Father Who loved us and gave us eternal consolation and good hope in grace. comfort your hearts, and establish, you in every good work and word.

I have thanks for Him Who empowered me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because He accounted me faithful, putting me into His service,

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and sobriety.

The Lord stood by me, and strengthened me, that through me the proclamation might be fully announced, and that all the gentiles might hear; and I was delivered out of the mouth of a lion.

Do you, therefore, my child, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

Women received their dead by a resurrection; and others were tortured, not accepting the redemption, that they might obtain a better resurrection. nor seeking glory of men, neither from you, nor from others; though able to be in authority, as apostles of Christ. But we became gentle in the midst of you, as when a nurse cherishes her own children: so, being affectionately desirous of you, we were well pleased to impart to you, not only the Gospel of God, but also our own souls, because ye became dear to us.
