You have heard that it was said: You shall love your neighbor, and hate your enemy. But I say to you, Love your enemies: bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who insult you and persecute you:
But I say to you that hear: Love your enemies; do good to them that hate you; bless them that curse you; pray for them that abuse you.
But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward shall be great, and you shall be sons of the Most High: for he is kind to the unthankful and the evil. Be you, therefore, merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
but as he who has called you is holy, so be you holy in all your behavior: because it is written, Be you holy, for I am holy.

for the law was given through Moses, but the grace and the truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has revealed him.

For what the law could not do, because it was weak through the flesh, God has done, who, sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for a sin-offering, condemned sin in the flesh, that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
Now the works of the flesh are well known, and they are these lewdness, uncleanness, wantonness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strifes, jealousies, anger, party-spirit, divisions, sects, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; with respect to which, I tell you now, as I also told you in times past, that those who practice such things shall riot inherit the kingdom of God.read more.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, self-control. Against such there is no law. Now those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
