To whom coming, a living stone, rejected indeed by men but approved by God, elect, precious, do you also yourselves be built up living stones, a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices well pleasing to God through Jesus Christ,

not with blood of goats and bullocks, but with his own blood, entered once into the sanctuary having found eternal redemption.

Take heed to yourselves, therefore, and to all the flock in which the Holy Spirit has made you bishops, to feed the church of the Lord which he has purchased with his blood.

Husbands, love your wives as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it,

He that speaks with a tongue edifies himself; but he that prophesies edifies an assembly.

Let him therefore that speaks with a tongue pray that he may interpret,

that he might sanctify it, purifying it with the washing of water with the word, that he might present the church to himself glorious, not having a spot or wrinkle or any thing of the kind, but that it should be holy and blameless.

And such were some of you; but you are washed, you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

And Saul consented to his death. And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edification of the body of Christ,

Now I rejoice in sufferings for you, and supply the deficiencies of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body, which is the church,

which is his body, the fullness of him that fills all things in all.

AND I make known to you, brothers, the grace of God given to the churches of Macedonia,

and put all things in subjection under his feet, and made him head over all things to the church,

for the husband is the head of the wife, as also Christ is the head of the church; he is the savior of the body.

that he might present the church to himself glorious, not having a spot or wrinkle or any thing of the kind, but that it should be holy and blameless.

So, my brothers, you have also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you should be married to another, to him that was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God.

But as the church is subject to Christ, so also let wives be subject to husbands in every thing.
