for this reason I speak to them in parables; because though they see, they will not see; and though they hear, they will not hear, nor understand. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, Ye shall hear by the hearing of the ear, and not understand; and in seeing ye shall see, and not perceive: for the heart of this people is grown stupid, and their ears are dull of hearing, and they have closed their eyes; least they should see at all with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

And he said unto them, To you it is granted to know the mystery of the kingdom of God; but unto them that are without all things are delivered in parables: that in seeing they may see and not perceive, and in hearing they may hear and not understand, least they should be converted, and their sins be forgiven them.

And his disciples asked Him, what might be the meaning of this parable. And He said, To you it is granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but I speak to others in parables, that in seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.

And Jesus said, I am come into this world to execute judgement; that they who see not, may see; and that they who say they see, may be made blind. And some of the pharisees who were present, heard these words, and said to Him, Are we blind also? Jesus replied, If ye were blind, ye would not have sin: but now ye say, We see; your sin therefore remaineth.

and whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; but whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.

Wherefore, I tell you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven to men; but the blasphemy against the holy Spirit shall not be forgiven them: and if any one speak against the Son of man, it may be forgiven him: but if any one speak against the holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this life, nor in that to come.

Verily I tell you, that all sins shall be forgiven to the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith they may blaspheme: but whosoever blasphemeth against the holy Ghost never hath forgiveness, but is liable to eternal damnation:

And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it may be forgiven him; but unto him, that blasphemeth the holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven.

If any one see his brother commit a sin which is not unto death, let him pray for him, and God will give him life, that is for them that do not sin unto death. There is a sin unto death: and for that I do not say that he should pray.

For if ye forgive men their faults, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their transgressions, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

So speak, and so act, as those who are to be judged by the law of liberty. For he shall have judgement without mercy, that hath not shewn mercy: but mercy triumpheth over judgement.

Therefore, if thou bring thine offering to the altar, and there remembrest that thy brother hath any complaint against thee; leave thy gift there before the altar, and go and first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Judge not, that ye be not judged: for with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured back again to you.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven: give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed and shaken down and running over, shall they give into your bosom: for by the same measure, which ye measure with, shall it be measured back again to you.

Then his lord called for him again, and said to him, Thou wicked slave, I forgave thee all that vast debt at thy request, and oughtest not thou to have had compassion on thy fellow-servant, even as I had on thee? Thus will my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye forgive not every one his brother from your hearts their trespasses.

But God recommendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Charity beareth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity is not insolent, is not puffed up, doth not behave indecently, is not selfish, is not easily provoked,

Be it known therefore unto you, brethren, that through Him is preached unto you the remission of sins:

Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ hath received us, to the glory of God.

And if any one hath caused grief, it hath grieved me only as to part of you, (that I may not overcharge you all) though sufficient to such a one is the censure passed on him by many. So that on the contrary, ye ought rather to forgive and comfort him, least such a one should be swallowed up with excessive sorrow.read more.
Wherefore I beseech you to confirm your love to him. For to this end also did I write, that I might have proof of you, whether ye are obedient in all things.
