Beloved, let us love one another: for love is from God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He, that loveth not, knoweth not God: for God is love.
and the Lord make you to increase and abound in love to one another, and to all men, as we do towards you:
For God hath not given us a spirit of fearfulness, but of vigor, and of love, and of prudence.
And we have known and believed the love which God hath towards us: for God is love; and he, that dwelleth in love, dwelleth in God, and God in him.
In this we know his love, that He laid down his life for us: and we should be ready to lay down our lives for the brethren.
Herein is love; not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.
Greater love hath no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends:
even as Christ hath loved us, and given Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of sweet perfume.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,
and experience hope, and this hope maketh us not ashamed; because the love of God is diffused in our hearts by the holy Spirit that is given to us.
Now I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the love of the Spirit, that ye earnestly strive together with me in prayers to God for me;
For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on Him might not perish, but have everlasting life:
and if ye keep my commandments ye will continue in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and continue in his love.
nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
and the love of God, and the communication of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
Behold then what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God: though for this reason the world knoweth us not, because it knew not Him.
And he answered, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind: and thy neighbor as thyself.

who account it a pleasure to riot even in the day; spots and disgraces; revelling in their frauds, while they partake of your feasts:
Wo unto you pharisees; for ye love the chief seat in synagogues, and salutations in public places.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Let love be unfeigned. Abhor that which is evil, cleave to that which is good;
so do, and acquaint them that the end of that charge is charity, out of a pure heart, and a good conscience, and faith unfeigned:
Having therefore purified your souls by obedience to the truth, through the Spirit, to brotherly love unfeigned, love one another with a pure heart fervently:
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear; because fear hath torment; but he that feareth is not perfected in love.
But if any one, who hath the good things of the world, seeth his brother in want, and shutteth up his bowels from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in word, or in tongue only, but in deed and in truth.

But God recommendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
But if thy brother be grieved by thy food, thou dost not herein walk in love. Do not by thy food destroy him, for whom Christ died.
I am crucified with Christ; yet I live, though no longer I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave up himself for me.
In this was the love of God manifested towards us, that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
and in this we know that we love the children of God, since we love God and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
And now abideth faith, hope, love, these three graces; but the greatest of these is love.

And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, "Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God is the one Lord, and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength:" this is the first or chief commandment, and the second is like it, even this, "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself:" there is no other commandment greater than these.
for this command, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet, and every other social precept, is summed up in this, namely, "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." Love worketh no evil to our neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but faith which worketh by love.
that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith: and be ye rooted and grounded in love, that ye may be able, with all the saints, to comprehend what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height, and to know the love of Christ, which surpasseth knowledge; that ye may be filled according to the abundant fulness of God.
And above all these put on love, which is the band of perfection.
whereas, he that loveth his brother, abideth in the light, and is in no danger of stumbling.
