Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long with you, and dost thou not know me? Philip, he that hath seen me, hath seen the Father: and how then dost thou say, Shew us the Father? Dost thou not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? as to the words which I speak to you, I speak them not of my self; and the Father who abideth in me, doth the works. Believe me therefore that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: at lest, believe me for the very works.

Think not that I am come to abrogate the law, or the prophets: I am not come to abolish, but to compleat them:

and if ye keep my commandments ye will continue in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and continue in his love.

But ye are of Him in Christ Jesus, who from God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

It is a truth highly to be believed, and worthy to be received by all, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners:---of whom I am one of the chief. But for this end I obtained mercy, that in me a chief sinner Jesus Christ might display his long-suffering, for an example to those who should afterwards believe on Him to eternal life.

But Jesus hearing them, said unto them, They that are in health need not a physician, but they that are ill: go therefore and learn what that means, "I desire mercy rather than sacrifice:" for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.

Which Jesus hearing, saith unto them, They that are in health have no need of a physician, but they that are ill: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, They that are in health have no need of a physician, but they that are sick: I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Wo unto you scribes and pharisees, hypocrites, who tithe even your mint, and anise, and cummin, but neglect the weightier matters of the law, judgement, mercy, and fidelity: these ye ought undoubtedly to practise, and not to omit the others.

But the comforter, that is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I have said unto you.

I have yet many things to say to you, but ye cannot bear them now. But when the Spirit of truth is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He will not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that will He speak, and will shew you things to come. All that the Father hath are mine: therefore I said, that He shall take of mine and shew it unto you.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if the Spirit of God dwelleth in you: but if any one hath not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

For who among men knoweth the things of a man, but the spirit of a man which is in him? so also the things of God no one knoweth, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit of God; that we might know the things that are graciously bestowed upon us by God: which we also speak of, not in words dictated by human wisdom, but in those which are dictated by the holy Spirit; explaining spiritual things by spiritual words.

And when they had passed through Phrygia and Galatia, being forbidden by the holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia, they came to Mysia, and endeavoured to go to Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.

and the Spirit said to Philip, Go near and join thyself to this chariot. And Philip running up to him,

And as Peter was pondering upon the vision, the Spirit said unto him, Behold there are three men enquiring for thee:

For it seemed good to the holy Spirit, and so to us, to lay no more burthen upon you than these necessary things.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. Whereas the spiritual man discerneth all things, yet is himself discerned by no one. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, to instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Let the same mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be as God. Yet He emptied himself, assuming the form of a servant, when made in the likeness of men:read more.
and being in the human state, He humbled himself, and was obedient even unto death, and that the death of the cross. Wherefore God hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name above every name: that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of celestial beings, as well as of those on earth, and of those under the earth; and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Seeing therefore Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same thought, that he, who hath mortified the flesh, hath ceased from sin; that he should no longer live the rest of his time in the flesh according to the lusts of men, but after the will of God.
