Now before the feast of the passover, (Jesus knowing that his hour was come, when He should pass out of this world unto the Father, as He had loved his own, who were yet in the world, He loved them unto the end:)
In this was the love of God manifested towards us, that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
And God who knoweth the heart, bare witness to them, giving them the holy Spirit, as He had done also to us:
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
Let not him, that eateth, despise him that eateth not; and let not him, that eateth not, censure him that eateth: for God hath received him.
Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ hath received us, to the glory of God.
Behold then what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God: though for this reason the world knoweth us not, because it knew not Him. Beloved, we are now the children of God, but it doth not yet appear what we shall be: we know however, that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every one, that hath this hope in Him, purifieth himself, even as He is pure.
But as many as received Him, to them granted He the privilege to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name; who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God. For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. So that the Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.read more.
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and co-heirs with Christ: if so be we suffer with Him, that we may be also glorified with Him.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
who hath of his own will begotten us by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of first-fruits of his creatures.
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is from God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one, that loveth Him that begat, loveth Him also that is begotten of Him:
and of the holy Ghost, and teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen.
for I am with thee, and no man shall lay hands on thee to hurt thee; for I have much people in this city."
by whom we have freedom and access with confidence through faith in Him.
through whom also we have admission by faith into this grace in which we stand, and boast in hope of the glory of God.
For by grace ye are saved, through faith: and this not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not by works, that no one may boast:
Let us therefore come with freedom to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace for our seasonable help.
Having therefore, brethren, free admission into the holy places by the blood of Jesus, the new and living way which He hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh, and having a great high-priest over the house of God,read more.
let us draw near with sincerity, in the full assurance of faith, having our hearts cleansed from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
who is the pledge of our inheritance, till the redemption of his purchased possession, to the praise of his glory.
nor by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
for a demonstration, I say, of his righteousness at this time: that He might be just, and the justifier of him, that believeth in Jesus.
For the gift is not as the sentence was by one that sinned; for the sentence is passed from one offence to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences to justification.
Who shall lay any accusation against the elect of God? will God, who justifieth us? Who is he that condemneth? Is it Christ, that died for us? yea rather, that is risen again, who is also at the right hand of God, and who maketh intercession for us?
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the spirit of our God.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness:
and that in his name should be preached repentance and remission of sins to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
