But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit; for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

We know that the law is spiritual; but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit, is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.read more.
The wind bloweth where it lifteth, and thou hearest the found thereof, but canst not tell, whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

And if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead, will also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Not by works of righteousness which we had done, but according to his own mercy he saved us, by the laver of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God, must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

But Jesus said to them, Verily, verily I say unto you, unless ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.read more.
He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, abideth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father, so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is the bread which came down from heaven; not as your fathers ate manna, and died: he that eateth of this bread, shall live for ever.

Let not your heart be troubled: believe in God: believe also in me.

But these are written, that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye may have life thro' his name.

And they said, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and thou shalt be saved and thy houshold.

That if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart, that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation.

That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable to his death: If by any means I may attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected: but I pursue, if I may apprehend that, for which I was also apprehended by Christ Jesus.read more.
Brethren, I do not account myself to have apprehended. But one thing I do, forgetting the things that are behind, and reaching forth unto the things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

They that are after the flesh, mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. Now to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace: Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.read more.
So then they who are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if the Spirit of God dwell in you. And if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die; but if ye through the Spirit mortify the deeds of the flesh, ye shall live.

I say then, walk by the Spirit, and fulfil not the desire of the flesh. For the flesh desireth against the Spirit, but the Spirit desireth against the flesh (these are contrary to each other) that ye may not do the things which ye would.

And be not drunken with wine,

And we all with unveiled face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord.

For whom he foreknew, he also predestinated, conformable to the image of his Son, that he might be the first-born among many brethren.

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know, when he shall appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. And every one that hath this hope in him, purifieth himself even as he is pure.

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the Sons of God. For ye have not received the Spirit of bondage again unto fear, but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The same Spirit beareth witness with our spirits, that we are the children of God.

And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying Abba, Father.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, fidelity, Meekness, temperance; against such there is no law.

So every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

I am the vine, ye are the branches. He that abideth in me and I in him, he beareth much fruit; but, separate from me, ye can do nothing. If any one abide not in me, he is cast out as a branch, and is withered: and they gather and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done for you.read more.
Hereby is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit: so shall ye be my disciples.

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.

For ye were once darkness, but now ye are light in the Lord: walk as children of light; (The fruit of the light is in all goodness, and righteousness, and truth:)

Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God, and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

A new commandment I give you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith so as to remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. And though I give all my goods to feed the poor, and deliver up my body to be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing.read more.
Love suffereth long and is kind; love envieth not; love acteth not rashly, is not puffed up:

Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, long-suffering:

And I, brethren, could not speak to you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ. I fed you with milk, not with meat; for ye were not yet able to bear it: nor are ye now able. For ye are still carnal: for while there is among you emulation, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk according to man?

Brethren, be not children in understanding: in wickedness be ye as infants, but in understanding be ye grown men.

For every one that useth milk is unexperienced in the word of righteousness; for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them of full age, to them who have their senses exercised by habit to discern both good and evil.

Brethren, if a man be overtaken in any fault, ye who are spiritual restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Him that is weak in the faith, receive; but not to doubtful disputations. For one believeth, that he may eat all things; another who is weak, eateth herbs. Let not him that eateth, despise him that eateth not: and let not him that eateth not, judge him that eateth; for God hath received him.

But take heed, lest by any means this your liberty become a stumbling-block to the weak. For if any one see thee, who hast knowledge, sitting at meat in an idol-temple, will not the conscience of him that is weak be encouraged to eat of the things sacrificed to the idol? And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died.read more.
But when ye sin thus against your brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ. Wherefore if meat make my brother to offend, I will eat no flesh while the world standeth, lest I make my brother to offend.

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor hath ear heard, neither hath it entered into the heart of man, what things God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them to us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, even the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, but the spirit of a man which is in him? So the things of God also knoweth no one, but the Spirit of God.read more.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we may know the things which are freely given to us of God. Which also we speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Holy Spirit, explaining spiritual things by spiritual words.

whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him. But ye know him; for he remaineth with you, and shall be in you.

But when he, the Spirit of truth is come, he will guide you into all the truth; for he will not speak of himself: but whatsoever he shall hear, he will speak; and he will shew you things to come. He will glorify me; for he will take of mine, and shew it you. All things that the Father hath, are mine: therefore I said, He will take of mine, and shew it you.

But the spiritual man discerneth all things, while he himself is discerned by no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Teaching us, that, having renounced ungodliness and all wordly desires, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present world,

I exhort you therefore, brethren, by the tender mercies of God, to present your bodies unto God, a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Know ye not, that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost, which is in you, which ye have from God? And ye are not your own: For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God with your body and your spirit, which are God's.

And they that are Christ's, have crucified the flesh with its affections and desires.

If ye then are risen with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ sitteth at the right-hand of God. Set your affections on the things above, not the things on the earth.

Abide ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. And hereby we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that faith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.read more.
But whoso keepeth his word, verily in him the love of God is perfected: hereby we know that we are in him. He that saith, he abideth in him, ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Hereby we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments; and his commandments are not grievous.

If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.

as your fathers, so do ye.

And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Quench not the Spirit.

Now they know, that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.

And that from an infant thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, thro' faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is inspired of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

And in those days he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in the prayer of God.

And in the morning, rising a great while before day, he went out and departed into a desert place and prayed there.

And seeing the boldness of Peter and John, and understanding that they were illiterate and uneducated men, they marvelled, and took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

to provoke one another to love and to good works:

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart unto the Lord.

As ye know how we exhorted and comforted every one of you, as a father his own children, And charged you to walk worthy of God, who hath called you to his kingdom and glory.

My brethren, count it all joy, when ye fall into divers temptations, Knowing that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have it's perfect work, that ye may be perfect and intire, wanting nothing.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience, And patience experience, and experience hope;

Wherein ye greatly rejoice, tho' now for a little while (if need be) ye are in heaviness thro' manifold temptations. That the trial of your faith, which is much more precious than gold, (that perisheth, tho' it be tried with fire) may be found unto praise, and honour, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,

And having removed him, he raised up to them David for their king, to whom also bearing witness he said, I have found David, the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, who will do all my will.

And the saying pleased the whole multitude; and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith, and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas, a proselyte of Antioch:
