'Instruction' in the Bible

The Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and stay there so that I may give you the stone tablets with the law and commandments I have written for their instruction.”

You must keep My instruction to not do any of the detestable customs that were practiced before you, so that you do not defile yourselves by them; I am Yahweh your God.”

They must keep My instruction, or they will be guilty and die because they profane it; I am Yahweh who sets them apart.

Follow the whole instruction the Lord your God has commanded you, so that you may live, prosper, and have a long life in the land you will possess.

Hold on to instruction; don’t let go.Guard it, for it is your life.

He will die because there is no discipline,and be lost because of his great stupidity.

Accept my instruction instead of silver,and knowledge rather than pure gold.

Listen to instruction and be wise;don’t ignore it.

The one who follows instruction is on the path to life,but the one who rejects correction goes astray.

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge,but one who hates correction is stupid.

A wise son responds to his father’s discipline,but a mocker doesn’t listen to rebuke.

The one who has contempt for instruction will pay the penalty,but the one who respects a command will be rewarded.

A wise man’s instruction is a fountain of life,turning people away from the snares of death.

Poverty and disgrace come to thosewho ignore discipline,but the one who accepts correction will be honored.

A fool despises his father’s discipline,but a person who accepts correction is sensible.

Anyone who ignores discipline despises himself,but whoever listens to correction acquires good sense.

The fear of the Lord is what wisdom teaches,and humility comes before honor. >

Insight is a fountain of life for its possessor,but the discipline of fools is folly.

Listen to counsel and receive instructionso that you may be wise later in life.

If you stop listening to correction, my son,you will stray from the words of knowledge.

Apply yourself to disciplineand listen to words of knowledge.

Buy—and do not sell—truth,wisdom, instruction, and understanding.

I saw, and took it to heart;I looked, and received instruction:
