'Nations' in the Bible

Land of Zabulon and land of Nepthalim, way of the sea beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the nations:

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as those who are of the nations: for they think they shall be heard through their much speaking.

These twelve Jesus sent out when he had charged them, saying, Go not off into the way of the nations, and into a city of Samaritans enter ye not;

who hast said by the mouth of thy servant David, Why have the nations raged haughtily and the peoples meditated vain things?

Simon has related how God first visited to take out of the nations a people for his name.

But if their fall be the world's wealth, and their loss the wealth of the nations, how much rather their fulness?

For I speak to you, the nations, inasmuch as I am apostle of nations, I glorify my ministry;

For I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, of this mystery, that ye may not be wise in your own conceits, that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the nations be come in;

and that the nations should glorify God for mercy; according as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the nations, and will sing to thy name.

And again, Praise the Lord, all ye nations, and let all the peoples laud him.

And again, Esaias says, There shall be the root of Jesse, and one that arises, to rule over the nations: in him shall the nations hope.

For I will not dare to speak anything of the things which Christ has not wrought by me, for the obedience of the nations, by word and deed,

They have been well pleased indeed, and they are their debtors; for if the nations have participated in their spiritual things, they ought also in fleshly to minister to them.

but which has now been made manifest, and by prophetic scriptures, according to commandment of the eternal God, made known for obedience of faith to all the nations --

But that what the nations sacrifice they sacrifice to demons, and not to God. Now I do not wish you to be in communion with demons.

But when I saw that they do not walk straightforwardly, according to the truth of the glad tidings, I said to Peter before all, If thou, being a Jew, livest as the nations and not as the Jews, how dost thou compel the nations to Judaize?

We, Jews by nature, and not sinners of the nations,

Wherefore remember that ye, once nations in the flesh, who are called uncircumcision by that called circumcision in the flesh done with the hand;

This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye should no longer walk as the rest of the nations walk in the vanity of their mind,

forbidding us to speak to the nations that they may be saved, that they may fill up their sins always: but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.
