Ammonites And Syrians Defeated

¹² And he said, "If Aram is too strong for me, then you must be a help to me, but if the {Ammonites} are too strong for you, then I will help you. ¹³ Be strong! Let us strengthen ourselves on behalf of our people and on behalf of the cities of our God. And may Yahweh do [what is] good in his eyes." ¹⁴ And Joab and the people who [were] with him drew near before Aram for battle, and they fled before him.
