And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man shall surely be put to death;
all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.”
1 Kings 21:13
Then the two worthless men came in and sat before him; and the worthless men testified against him, even against Naboth, before the people, saying, “Naboth cursed God and the king.”
So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death with stones.
and they got up and
drove Him out of the city, and led Him to the brow of the hill on which their city had been built, in order to throw Him down the cliff.
Therefore Jesus also,
that He might sanctify the people through His own blood, suffered outside the gate.
They put forward
false witnesses who said, “This man incessantly speaks against this holy place and the Law;
But you shall surely kill him; your hand shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
The hand of the witnesses shall be first against him to put him to death, and afterward the hand of all the people. So you shall purge the evil from your midst.
Saul was in hearty agreement with putting him to death.And on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.
Now Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,
I persecuted this Way to the death, binding and putting both men and women into prisons,
