Instructions For Consecrating Aaron And His Sons

⁹ Tie the sashes on Aaron and his sons and fasten headbands on them. The priesthood is to be theirs by a permanent statute. This is the way you will ordain Aaron and his sons. ¹⁰ “You are to bring the bull to the front of the tent of meeting, and Aaron and his sons must lay their hands on the bull’s head. ¹¹ Slaughter the bull before the Lord at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

Leviticus 1:4

He is to lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering so it can be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him.

Leviticus 8:14

Then he brought the bull near for the sin offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the bull for the sin offering.

“Take one ram, and Aaron and his sons are to lay their hands on the ram’s head.
