2 It was the Mary who poured perfume upon the Master and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.

3 So the sisters sent this message to Jesus: "Master, your friend is sick."

9 Jesus answered, "Is not the day twelve hours long? If a man travels by day he will not stumble, for he can see the light of this world;
9 Jesus answered, “(L)Are there not twelve hours in the day? If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

40 Jesus said to her, "Have I not promised you that if you will believe in me you will see the glory of God?"

42 though I knew that you always listen to me. But I have said this for the sake of the people that are standing around me that they may believe that you have made me your messenger."

42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

42 Then Jesus looked upward and said, "Father, I thank you for hearing me. I know that you always hear me, but I have said this for the sake of the crowd standing here, so that they may believe that you sent me."
43 After saying this he called out in a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!"
43 When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.”

48 If we let him go on, everybody will believe in him, and then the Romans will come and put an end to our holy place and our people."

50 "You know nothing about it. You do not realize that it is to your interest that one man should die for the people, instead of the whole nation being destroyed."
50 nor do you take into account that (BP)it is expedient for you that one man die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish.”
50 Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not.
50 You’re not considering that it is to your(f) advantage that one man should die for the people rather than the whole nation perish.”(AQ)

51 Now he was not self-moved in saying this, but as high priest for that year he was inspired to say that Jesus was to die for the nation??52 and not only for the nation but also for the purpose of uniting the scattered children of God.
51 Now he did not say this (m)on his own initiative, but (BQ)being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was going to die for the nation,
51 And this spake he not of himself: but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus should die for that nation;
