And having come, he went down into the city called Nazareth, in order that the words spoken by the prophets might be fulfilled, that He shall be called a Nazarene.


And the multitudes continued to say, He is the prophet Jesus, the one from Nazareth of Galilee.

And He said to them, What? And they said to Him, The things concerning Jesus the Nazarene, who was a prophet-man mighty in work and word before God and all the people.

saying, Let me alone; what is there to us and thee, thou Jesus, the Nazarene? You have come to destroy us; I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God.

And they told him that Jesus the Nazarene is going along.

And hearing that it is Jesus the Nazarene, began to cry out, and say, Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me.

And there were many lepers in Israel in the time of the prophet Elisha; and none of them were cleansed except Naaman the Syrian. And all in the synagogue, hearing these things, were filled with wrath. And rising up, they cast Him out of the city, and were leading Him to the brink of the mountain on which their city was built, to hurl Him down; and He having passed through the midst of them went away.


Nathanael said to him, Is any good thing able to come out of Nazareth? Philip says to him, Come and see.
