How Precious Is Your Steadfast Love

1 The sin of the evil-doer says in his heart, There is no fear of the Lord before his eyes.

1 {To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David the servant of the LORD.} The transgression of the wicked saith within my heart, that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

2 For he takes comfort in the thought that his sin will not be uncovered and hated.

2 For he flattereth himself in his own eyes, until his iniquity be found to be hateful.

3 In the words of his mouth are evil and deceit; he has given up being wise and doing good.

4 He devises iniquity on his bed and is determined to follow a path that is not good. He does not resist evil.

5 Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens, and your strong purpose is as high as the clouds.

5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

5 Your (H)lovingkindness, O Lord, (d)extends to the heavens,Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

5 Lord, Your faithful love reaches to heaven,Your faithfulness to the clouds.(G)

5 Your gracious love, LORD, reaches to the heavens; your truth extends to the skies.

6 Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judging is like the great deep; O Lord, you give life to man and beast.

6 Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast.

7 How good is your loving mercy, O God! the children of men take cover under the shade of your wings.

7 How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

7 How (L)precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!And the children of men (M)take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.

7 God, Your faithful love is so valuablethat people take refuge in the shadow of Your wings.(J)

8 The delights of your house will be showered on them; you will give them drink from the river of your pleasures.

8 They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

8 They are filled from the abundance of Your house;You let them drink from Your refreshing stream,(K)

8 They are refreshed from the abundance of your house; You cause them to drink from the river of your pleasures.

9 For with you is the fountain of life: in your light we will see light.

9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

10 O let there be no end to your loving mercy to those who have knowledge of you, or of your righteousness to the upright in heart.

10 O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart.

10 O continue Your lovingkindness to (Q)those who know You,And Your (R)righteousness to the upright in heart.

10 Spread Your faithful love over those who know You,and Your righteousness over the upright in heart.(N)

10 Send forth your gracious love to those who know you, and your righteousness to those who are upright in heart.

11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, or the hand of the evil-doers put me out of my place.

11 Let not the foot of pride come against me, and let not the hand of the wicked remove me.

11 Let not the foot of pride come upon me,And let not the hand of the wicked drive me away.

11 Do not let the foot of the arrogant man come near meor the hand of the wicked one drive me away.(O)

11 Do not let the foot of the proud crush me; and do not let the hand of the wicked dissuade me.

12 There the workers of evil have come down: they have been made low, and will not be lifted up.

12 There are the workers of iniquity fallen: they are cast down, and shall not be able to rise.

12 There the doers of iniquity have fallen;They have been thrust down and (S)cannot rise.

12 There the evildoers fall;they have been thrown down and cannot rise.(P)
