"When someone sins [in any of these ways]: [If] he has seen, heard, or known about something he has witnessed, and did not respond to a public call to testify, he is guilty.

"If anyone kills a person, the murderer is to be put to death based on the word of witnesses. But no one is to be put to death based on the testimony of one witness.

Instead, you must kill him. Your hand is to be the first against him to put him to death, and then the hands of all the people.

The one condemned to die is to be executed on the testimony of two or three witnesses. No one is to be executed on the testimony of a single witness.

"One witness cannot establish any wrongdoing or sin against a person, whatever that person has done. A fact must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.

"If a man marries a woman, but she becomes displeasing to him because he finds something improper about her, he may write her a divorce certificate, hand it to her, and send her away from his house.

and the second man hates her, writes her a divorce certificate, hands it to her, and sends her away from his house or if he dies,

Bind up the testimony. Seal up the instruction among my disciples.

I recorded it on a scroll, sealed it, called in witnesses, and weighed out the silver on a scale. They threw him out of the city and began to stone him. And the witnesses laid their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul.

And when the blood of Your witness Stephen was being shed, I myself was standing by and approving, and I guarded the clothes of those who killed him.'

Don't accept an accusation against an elder unless it is supported by two or three witnesses.

If anyone disregards Moses' law, he dies without mercy, based on the testimony of two or three witnesses.

Therefore since we also have such a large cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares us, and run with endurance the race that lies before us,
