At the time on high she lifteth herself up, She laugheth at the horse and at his rider.

It clappeth at him its hands, And it hisseth at him from his place.

I was not at ease, neither had I quiet, neither was I at rest; yet trouble came.

For now I would lie down, and I would be at peace; I would be asleep; then {I would be at rest}

Will it be well if he should search you out? or as one mocketh at a man, will ye mock at him?

They were driven out from fellow people; they shout at them as [at] a thief,

if I looked at [the] sun when it shone or [at the] moon moving [in] splendor,

His anger tears at me, and He harasses me.
He gnashes His teeth at me.
My enemy pierces me with His eyes.

If I smiled at them, they couldn’t believe it;
they were thrilled at the light of my countenance.

Look at the heavens and see;
gaze at the clouds high above you.

At once are prisoners at peace, they hear not the voice of a driver:

At destruction and at hunger, shalt thou laugh, and, of the wild beast of the earth, be not thou afraid;

They lift up voice at the timbrel and harp, and rejoice at the sound of the flute.

“The murderer arises at dawn;
He kills the poor and the needy,
And at night he is as a thief.
