For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the first-born in the land of Egypt, both man and beast: and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD.

Who is like to thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders!

Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing in which they dealt proudly, he was above them.

Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make to you gods of gold.

Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people.

And in all things that I have said to you be circumspect: and make no mention of the names of other gods, neither let it be heard from thy mouth.

Thou shalt not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor do after their works: but thou shalt utterly overthrow them, and quite break down their images.

Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee to sin against me: for if thou shalt serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to thee.

And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down from the mount, the people assembled themselves to Aaron, and said to him, Arise, make us gods which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him.

And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, These are thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt.

They have turned aside quickly from the way which I commanded them: they have made them a molten calf, and have worshiped it, and have sacrificed to it, and said, These are thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt.

For they said to me, Make us gods which shall go before us: for as for this Moses, the man that brought us out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him.

And Moses returned to the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold.

Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go astray after their gods, and do sacrifice to their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice;

And thou take of their daughters to thy sons, and their daughters go astray after their gods, and make thy sons go astray after their gods.

Thou shalt make thee no molten gods.
