And it happened that after three days they found him in the temple [courts], sitting in the midst of the teachers and listening to them and asking them [questions].

And [when] he departed from there, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be terribly hostile, and to question him closely about many [things],

And he answered [and] said to them, "I also will ask you a question, and you tell me:

So he questioned him {at considerable length}, but he answered nothing to him.
