Now if the administration of death which was engraved in letters of stone, was invested with glory ??so much so, that the children of Israel could not gaze at the face of Moses on account of the dazzling glory that was fading from his face;

surely the administration of the Spirit must be invested with still greater glory.

if what faded had its glory, then what lasts will be invested with far greater glory.

For in this we groan, longing to be invested with our house which is from heaven:

if indeed having been invested, we shall not be found unclothed.

For indeed being in this tabernacle we groan, being burdened; not that we wish to be divested, but invested, that mortality may be swallowed up of life.

Invested then with such a commission, I beseech you let not the offers of divine favour be made to you in vain.

I ask that when I do come I will not be driven to the boldness that I intend to show toward those few who regard us as if we walked according to the flesh [like men without the Spirit].
