And that I may not be exalted by the abundance of revelations, a thorn was given unto me in the flesh, the messenger of Satan that he may buffet me, in order that I may not be exalted.

But whosoever shall exalt himself, shall be abased; and whosoever shall humble himself shall be exalted.

Because every one who shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

He cast down the mighty from thrones and exalted the humble.

Therefore on the right hand of God exalted, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, has poured out this which you both see and hear.
