Wait patiently therefore, brothers, till the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and is of long patience, till he receives the autumnal and vernal rain.

And there were many women there, beholding from afar, who had followed Jesus from Galilee, to wait upon him;

Blessed are those servants whom their lord when he comes shall find watching. I tell you truly, that he will gird himself, and cause them to recline, and he will come and wait upon them.

but if we hope for what we see not, we wait for it with patience.

Know you not that those who perform sacred rites eat from the temple? Those who wait on the altar partake of the altar?

Therefore, my brothers, when you come together to eat, wait one for another.

For we wait in spirit for the hope of righteousness, by faith.

and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come.
