Concerning things offered to idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not jealous. Love does not brag and is not arrogant (proud). Love does not act indecently. It is not selfish. It is not provoked and does not take into account a wrong suffered. Love does not rejoice with evil, but rejoices with the truth. read more.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Love never fails. Where there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away. Where there are tongues, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part. When the perfect comes, the partial (imperfect) (incomplete) will be done away. When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, and reason like a child. When I became an adult I did away with childish things. For now we see in a mirror dimly, and then we will see face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known. Faith, hope and love remain. These three! The greatest of these is love!

The end of all things is near. Be of sound mind and judgment. Also be sober for the purpose of prayer. Above all things have intense love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining.

I was living among the exiles by the Chebar River. On the fifth day of the fourth month in the thirtieth year the [figurative] heaven opened and I saw visions from God.

Your eyes will see the king in his beauty and view a land that stretches afar.

It stretched out what looked like a hand and grabbed me by the hair on my head. In these visions from God, the Spirit carried me between heaven and earth. He took me in vision to Jerusalem, to the entrance of the north gate of the inner court, where the seat of the idol of jealousy, which provokes to jealousy, was located.

For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror. He sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what manner of man he was.
