The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.

And he sent Eliakim who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet, the son of Amoz.

And Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, So says Jehovah, the God of Israel, I have heard what you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria.

In those days Hezekiah was sick to death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him and said to him, So says Jehovah, Set your house in order, for you shall die and not live.

And I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria. And I will defend this city for My own sake, and for My servant David's sake. And Isaiah said, Take a lump of figs. And they took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered.




O Jehovah, make me to know my end, and the measure of my days, what it is; I know how frail I am.

For whoever is chosen, to all those living, there is hope; for a living dog is better than a dead lion.




If they were wise, they would understand this; they would consider their latter end!

And this shall be a sign to you from Jehovah that Jehovah will do this thing that He has spoken: behold, I will bring again the shadow of the steps, which has gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten steps backward. So the sun returned ten steps, by which steps it had gone down.

He trusted in Jehovah, the God of Israel, and after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor who were before him.


And Ahaz slept with his fathers and was buried with his fathers in the city of David. And his son Hezekiah reigned in his place.
