But from him who has not, even that which he has shall be taken away from him. And throw the unprofitable servant into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Therefore He said, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive a kingdom for himself, and to return. And He called his ten servants and delivered ten minas, and said to them, Trade until I come back. But his citizens hated him. And they sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this one to reign over us.read more.

You take up what you did not lay down, and you reap what you did not sow. And he said to him, I will judge you out of your own mouth, wicked servant! You knew that I was a harsh man, taking up what I had not laid down and reaping what I did not sow. And why did you not give my silver on the bank table, and coming I might have exacted it with interest? And he said to those who stood by, Take the mina from him and give it to him who has ten minas. And they said to him, Lord, he has ten minas. For I say to you that to everyone who has, more will be given. And from him who has not, even that which he has will be taken from him. But those who are my enemies, who did not desire that I should reign over them, bring them here and slay them before me.

redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

I must work the works of Him who sent Me, while it is day. Night comes when no man can work.

So then as we have time, let us work good toward all, especially toward those of the household of faith.

Walk in wisdom toward those on the outside, redeeming the time.

Do not give that which is holy to the dogs; nor cast your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet and turn again and tear you.

One rebuking a scorner gets shame to himself; and one rebuking a wicked one gets himself a blemish.

Do not speak in the ears of a fool, for he will despise the wisdom of your words.

But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

And they said, What is that to us? You see to that. And he threw the pieces of silver down in the temple and departed. And he went and hanged himself.

And when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, a woman came to Him, having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on His head as He reclined. But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, To what purpose is this waste?read more.
For this ointment might have been sold for very much and given to the poor. When Jesus understood it, He said to them, Why do you trouble the woman? For she has done a good work on Me. For you have the poor with you always, but you do not always have Me. For in putting ointment on My body, she did it for My burial. Truly I say to you, Wherever this gospel shall be proclaimed in the whole world, that which this woman has done shall be spoken of also, for a memorial of her.

Then said one of His disciples (Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, who was to betray Him) Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor? He said this, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief and held the moneybag and carried the things put in. Then Jesus said, Let her alone. She has kept this for the day of My burial. For you have the poor with you always; but you do not always have Me.

And he wears out like a rotten thing, like a garment that a moth eats.

His flesh wastes away, not seen; and his bones laid bare; they were not seen.

When I kept silence, my bones became old through my roaring all the day long.

Better are the ones slain by the sword than the ones slain by hunger; those who pine away, pierced because the fruits of my fields failed.

For this cause we do not faint; but though our outward man perishes, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.

Jehovah shall strike you with lung disease and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew. And they shall pursue you until you perish.

the whole land shall be burned with brimstone, and salt; it shall not be sown; nor shall it sprout; nor shall there be any grass in it. It shall be like the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which Jehovah overthrew in His anger, and in His wrath,

Exhaustion by famine, and consumption by burning heat, and bitter destruction, and the teeth of beasts I will send on them, with the poison of crawling things of the dust.

Many times He delivered them, but they rebelled in their counsel and sank in their iniquities.

Behold, Jehovah empties the land and makes it bare, and distorts its face, and scatters its inhabitants.

so that they may lack bread and water, and be stricken dumb with one another, and waste away in their iniquity.

Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke. Among the tribes of Israel I have made known that which is confirmed.
