And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah and wrought that which was good and right and true before the LORD his God.


And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou would bless me indeed and enlarge my border and that thy hand might be with me and that thou would deliver me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.








Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he entered into his house; and with the windows open toward Jerusalem in his dining chamber, he knelt three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God as he was used to doing before.


And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good witness of all the Jews who dwelt there,


Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him and said of him, Behold a true Israelite, in whom is no guile!




And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.




There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God and departed from evil.


Now therefore fear the LORD and serve him in perfection and in truth and put away from among you the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the river and in Egypt, and serve ye the LORD.


therefore let us celebrate the feast, not in the old leaven, neither in the leaven of malice and wickedness, but in the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
