Rejoice ever. Pray continually. In all things give thanks. For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.

Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, and full of the holy ghost and wisdom, which we may appoint to this needful business: but we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministration of the word."

Rejoice in hope. Be patient in tribulation, continue in prayer.

Pour out thine indignation upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the kingdoms that call not upon thy name.

How can they have understanding, that are the workers of wickedness, eating up my people as it were bread, and calling not upon God?
