Thy first father sinned, and thy teachers have transgressed against me.

And having answered him, Peter said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come to thee on the waters.

And having responded, Peter said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here. If thou desire, we could make here three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah.

That disciple therefore whom Jesus loved says to Peter, It is the Lord. So when Simon Peter heard that it is the Lord, he tied the coat around himself (for he was undressed), and threw himself into the sea.


And having taken him aside, Peter began to rebuke him, saying, Be merciful to thee, Lord. This will, no, not be to thee.

Peter says to him, Thou may, no, not wash my feet into the age. Jesus answered him, If I may not wash thee, thou have no part with me.

Simon Peter therefore, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest's bondman, and cut off his right ear. Now the servant's name was Malchus.


But seeing the boisterous wind, he was afraid, and having begun to sink, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me.

Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard, and one servant girl came to him, saying, Thou also were with Jesus the Galilean. But he denied before them all, saying, I do not know what thou say. And when he was gone out into the porch, another woman saw him, and says to them there, This man was also with Jesus the Nazarene. read more.
And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.





And having answered, Peter said to him, Explain this parable to us. And Jesus said, Are ye also still without understanding?


And having seen Peter warming himself, having looked at him, she says, Thou also were with Jesus of Nazareth. But he denied, saying, I know not, nor understand what thou say. And he went outside onto the porch, and a cock sounded. And the servant girl having seen him, she began again to say to those who stood by, This man is from them. read more.
But he again denied it. And after a little while again those who stood by said to Peter, Surely thou are from them, for thou are a Galilean, and thy accent is similar. But he began to curse and to swear, I do not know this man of whom ye speak.


Then having answered, Peter said to him, Lo, we have forsaken all, and followed thee. What then will be for us?


Simon Peter therefore answered him, Lord, to whom will we go? Thou have sayings of eternal life.


And straightaway they left the nets, and followed him.
