And he said to them, "Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and rise again from the dead the third day, and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.
So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they were terrified, and said, "Truly this was the Son of God!"
So when the centurion, who stood opposite him, saw that he cried out like this and breathed his last, he said, "Truly this man was the Son of God!"
When all the multitudes who had gathered to witness this sight saw what had taken place, they beat their breasts, and returned home.
Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples. And he looked at Jesus as he walked, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God!"
And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth."
But the Lord said to him, "Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the sons of Israel; for I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name."
There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came for a witness, to bear witness of the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness of the light.
John bore witness of him and cried out, saying, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me ranks before me, for he was before me.'"
Of him all the prophets bear witness that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."
Pilate said to him, "You are a king then?" Jesus answered, "You say what I ama king. For this I was born, and for this I have come into the world, to bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice."

They put him to death by hanging him on a tree; but God raised him up on the third day and caused him to be seen, not to all the people but to us who were chosen by God as witnesses, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.read more.
And he commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that he is the one appointed by God to be judge of the living and the dead.
But God raised him from the dead; and for many days he appeared to those who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses to the people.

So do not be ashamed to testify of our Lord or of me his prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God,

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
but in your hearts reverence Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet do it with gentleness and respect;
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For man believes with his heart and so is justified, and he confesses with his mouth and so is saved.
"Therefore whoever acknowledges me before men, him I will also acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven.
For whoever is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man will also be ashamed when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."
"I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God. But he who denies me before men will be denied before the angels of God.
Since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, "I believed and therefore I spoke," we also believe and therefore speak,
No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
And he asked them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered him, "You are the Christ."
And he said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" And Peter answered, "The Christ of God."
And they went with haste, and found Mary and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. Now when they had seen him, they made widely known the saying which had been told them concerning this child.
One of the two who heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother. He first found his own brother Simon, and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which means the Christ). He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, "You are Simon son of John. You shall be called Cephas" (which means Peter).
She said to him, "Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world."
And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying out, "Have mercy on us, Son of David." When he had entered the house, the blind men came to him; and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to him, "Yes, Lord." Then he touched their eyes, saying, "According to your faith be it done to you."read more.
And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, "See that no one knows it." But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.
Then a leper came to him, imploring him, kneeling down to him and saying to him, "If you are willing, you can make me clean." And Jesus, moved with compassion, put out his hand and touched him, and said to him, "I am willing; be clean." And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean.read more.
And he strictly warned him and sent him away at once, and he said to him, "See that you say nothing to anyone; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing what Moses commanded, as a testimony to them." But he went out and began to talk freely about it, and to spread the news, so that Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, but was outside in the deserted places; and people came to him from every quarter.
He answered, "Whether he is a sinner or not, I do not know. One thing I know, that though I was blind, now I see."
