And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning, didst lay the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of thy hands. They shall perish; but thou remainest: and they all shall grow old as a garment; and as a mantle thou shalt fold them up, and they shall be changed; but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail.

Then Jesus said to him: Put back your sword into its place; for all that take the sword, shall perish by the sword. Do you think that I can not now call upon my Father, and he would cause more than twelve legions of angels to stand by me? But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
