Every living thing that moved on the earth perished: birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind. Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out. Men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

Jehovah said to Noah: Go into the ark, you and your whole family. For I have found you righteous in this generation. Verse ConceptsFlood, TheGenerationsBoatsRemnantNoah's ArkRelatives Also InvolvedEntering The ArkPeople Who Did RightFamiliesFamily Problems

Will you keep to the old way that the wicked have trod? They were snatched away before their time. Their foundation is washed away by flood. They said to God: 'Leave us alone.' They asked: 'What can the Almighty do to us?'

The presence of the Son of man will be similar to the days of Noah. It will be like those days before the Flood. They were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark. They were not aware until the Flood came and took them all away. The coming (presence) of the Son of man will be like this.

The days of the Son of man will be like the days of Noah. They ate, they drank and they got married until Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came, and destroyed them all.
