I tell you the solemn truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it produces much grain.




For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.


For we who are alive are constantly being handed over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our mortal body. As a result, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

I also established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, where they were living as resident foreigners.


Hear my prayer, O Lord! Listen to my cry for help! Do not ignore my sobbing! For I am dependent on you, like one residing outside his native land; I am at your mercy, just as all my ancestors were.

Jacob said to Pharaoh, "All the years of my travels are 130. All the years of my life have been few and painful; the years of my travels are not as long as those of my ancestors."

For we are resident foreigners and nomads in your presence, like all our ancestors; our days are like a shadow on the earth, without security.

I am like a foreigner in this land. Do not hide your commands from me!




But concerning the one who lacks such things -- he is blind. That is to say, he is nearsighted, since he has forgotten about the cleansing of his past sins.




So then, you will recognize them by their fruit.


But they will not go much further, for their foolishness will be obvious to everyone, just like it was with Jannes and Jambres.


For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing concealed that will not be made known and brought to light.










But you did not learn about Christ like this, if indeed you heard about him and were taught in him, just as the truth is in Jesus. You were taught with reference to your former way of life to lay aside the old man who is being corrupted in accordance with deceitful desires, read more.

Wash! Cleanse yourselves! Remove your sinful deeds from my sight. Stop sinning! Learn to do what is right! Promote justice! Give the oppressed reason to celebrate! Take up the cause of the orphan! Defend the rights of the widow!




It was good for me to suffer, so that I might learn your statutes.


It is written in the prophets, 'And they will all be taught by God.' Everyone who hears and learns from the Father comes to me.
