Therefore, I say to you, be not anxious for your life, what ye may eat, or what ye may drink; nor for your body, what ye may put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment? Behold the fowls of the heaven, that they sow not, nor reap, nor gather into barns; and your Heavenly Father feedeth them. Are not ye much more valuable than they? And who of you, by being anxious, can add to his stature one cubit? read more.
And why are ye anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin; but I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed as one of these. And, if God doth so clothe the grass of the field, that to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith! Be not, therefore, anxious, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink!' or 'What shall we put on?' For after all these things the nations are seeking; for your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first His Kingdom and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you. Be not, therefore, anxious for the morrow; for the morrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its evil.



And He said to His disciples, "Therefore, I say to you, be not anxious for your soul, what ye shall eat; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on; for the soul is more than the food; and the body, than the clothing. "Consider the ravens, that they neither sow nor reap; which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them! Of how much more value are ye than the birds! read more.
"And who of you, by being anxious, can add one cubit to his stature? If, therefore, ye cannot do the least thing, why are ye anxious about the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin; and I say to you, even Solomon, in all his glory, was not arrayed as one of these! Now, if God so clotheth the grass in the field, which to-day is, and to-morrow is cast into an oven, how much more shall He clothe you, O ye of little faith! And seek ye not what ye shall eat, and what ye shall drink; nor be troubled with anxiety; for after all these things are the nations of the world seeking; and your Father knoweth that ye need these things. But seek ye His Kingdom, and these things shall be added to you. "Fear not, little flock; because your Father delighted to give you the Kingdom. Sell what ye have, and give alms; make for yourselves purses that grow not old, a treasure unfailing in Heaven, where no thief approaches, nor moth corrupts; for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Be humbled, therefore, under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due season; having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He careth for you.
