As God's own chosen, then, as consecrated and beloved, be clothed with compassion, kindliness, humility, gentleness, and good temper ??13 forbear and forgive each other in any case of complaint; as Christ forgave you, so must you forgive.

If your brother sins [against you], go and reprove him, as between you and him alone. If he listens to you, then you have won your brother over; but if he will not listen, take one or two others along with you, so that every case may be decided on the evidence of two or of three witnesses.
