Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.

Keep thyself lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land where thou must enter lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee;

and when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee, thou shalt smite them and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them nor show mercy unto them.

If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son or thy daughter or the wife of thy bosom or thy friend who is as thine own soul should entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou nor thy fathers have known,

thou shalt not consent with him nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him; neither shalt thou have compassion; neither shalt thou conceal him,

Now, therefore, do not give your daughters unto their sons, neither take their daughters unto your sons, nor seek their peace or their prosperity forever, that ye may be strengthened, and eat the good of the land and leave it for an inheritance to your sons forever.

My son, do not walk in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers, for what fellowship does righteousness have with unrighteousness? and what communion does light have with darkness? And what concord does Christ have with Belial? or what part do the faithful have with the unfaithful? And what agreement does the temple of God have with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God has said, I will dwell in them and walk in them and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. read more.
Therefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing; and I will receive you

My son, if sinners entice thee, do not consent. If they say, Come with us, let us lay in wait for blood; let us ambush the innocent without cause. Let us swallow them up alive as Sheol and whole as those that go down into the pit; read more.
We shall find all kinds of riches, we shall fill our houses with spoil. Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse: My son, do not walk in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:

Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away.

Ye, therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things in advance, be on guard lest by the error of the wicked ye be deceived with the others and fall from your own steadfastness.

Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers; the snare has broken, and we are escaped.

For of this sort are those who creep into houses and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with various lusts,

And one of the crowd said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritance with me. And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you? And he spoke a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully; and he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my storehouses and build greater, and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast many goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee; then whose shall those things be which thou hast stored up? So is he that lays up treasure for himself and is not rich in God.

All ye beasts of the field, all ye beasts of the forest; come to devour. His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant; they are all dumb dogs; they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, they love to slumber. Woe unto those that join house to house, that lay field to field, until they have done away with the borders! Will ye dwell alone in the midst of the earth? In my ears, the LORD of the hosts said, Of a truth many houses shall be desolate, even great and fair, without inhabitant. For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and the seed of an homer shall yield an ephah.

Shall not all these take up a parable against him and a taunting enigma against him and say, Woe to him that multiplied that which was not his! And for how long would he pile thick clay upon himself? Shall they not rise up suddenly that shall bite thee and awake those that shall take thy place, and thou shalt be for a prey unto them? Because thou hast spoiled many nations, all the other peoples shall spoil thee because of human blood and for the robberies of the land, of the cities, and of all that dwell therein. read more.
Woe to him that covets ill-gotten gain by violence for his house that he may set his nest on high, that he may escape from the power of evil! Thou hast taken shameful counsel for thy house by cutting off many peoples and hast committed a sin against thy life. For the stone shall cry out from the wall, and the beam out of the timber shall answer it. Woe to him that builds the city with blood and founds the village with iniquity! Is this not of the LORD of the hosts? Therefore the peoples shall labour for the fire, and the Gentiles shall weary themselves in vain. For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD as the waters cover the sea. Woe unto him that gives his neighbours drink, that puts thy bottle to them, and makes them drunken also, that thou may look on their nakedness! Thou hast filled thyself with dishonour instead of honour; drink thou also, and thy foreskin shall be uncovered; the cup of the LORD's right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful vomit shall fall upon thy glory. For the violence of Lebanon shall fall upon thee and the destruction of the wild beasts shall break thee, because of the human blood, and of the robbery of the land, of the cities, and of all that dwell therein.

Cursed is he that smites his neighbour secretly. And all the people shall say, Amen. Cursed is he that takes a bribe to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen.

The word of the LORD came unto me again, saying, What mean ye, that ye use this saying concerning the land of Israel, saying, The fathers have eaten sour grapes and the children's teeth are set on edge? As I live, said the Lord GOD, ye shall never again have reason to use this saying in Israel. read more.
Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine; the soul that sins, it shall die. But if a man is just and does judgment and righteousness, that he does not eat upon the mountains, neither lift up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither defile his neighbour's wife, neither come near to the menstruous woman, neither oppress any, but restores to the debtor his pledge, does not commit robbery, gives his bread to the hungry, and covers the naked with a garment, neither lends at interest, neither takes any increase, withdraws his hand from iniquity, executes true judgment between man and man, walks in my statutes, and keeps my rights, to do according to the truth: he is just; he shall surely live, said the Lord GOD. If he begets a son that is a robber, a shedder of blood, and that does the like of any one of these things, and that does not do any of those duties, but, on the other hand, he does eat upon the mountains, or defiles his neighbour's wife, oppresses the poor and needy, commits robbery, does not restore the pledge, or lifts up his eyes to the idols, or makes an abomination, gives forth upon usury and takes increase, shall he then live? He shall not live; he has done all these abominations; he shall surely die; his blood shall be upon him.

Forasmuch as I exalted thee out of the dust and made thee prince over my people Israel, and thou hast walked in the way of Jeroboam and hast made my people Israel sin, to provoke me to anger with their sins;

For speaking arrogant words of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that were clean escaped from those who converse in error,

If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son or thy daughter or the wife of thy bosom or thy friend who is as thine own soul should entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou nor thy fathers have known,

Whosoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit, but the perfect shall inherit every good thing.

For at the window of my house I looked through my casement

Gather not my soul with the sinners, nor my life with those who have blood on their hands:

He said unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt not murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

Owe no one anything, but love one unto another; for he that loves his neighbour has fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not murder, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet, and if there is any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

For he that said, Thou shalt not commit adultery, said also, Thou shalt not murder. Now if thou commit no adultery, yet if thou commit murder, thou art become a transgressor of the law.
