Diligence » The diligent
He becomes poor who has a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent makes rich.
The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.
The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be put to forced labor.
The thoughts of the diligent lead only to plenty; but of everyone that is hasty, only to want.
See you a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before obscure men.

He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalts folly.
A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that makes haste to be rich shall not go unpunished.

Be not rash with your mouth, and let not your heart be hasty to utter anything before God: for God is in heaven, and you upon earth: therefore let your words be few.
Also, that the soul be without knowledge is not good; and he that hastens with his feet sins.
Seeing then that these things cannot be spoken against, you ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rashly.
