Ye shall trouble no widow nor fatherless child: If ye shall trouble them, they shall cry unto me, and I will surely hear their cry;

But was pure unto him ward, and kept myself from wickedness. And the LORD did to me again, according to my righteousness, and after my pureness that I had in his sight. With the holy thou shalt be holy, and with the man that is uncorrupt, thou shalt be uncorrupt. With the pure thou shalt be pure, and with the froward thou shalt be froward also. And the people that are in adversity, thou shalt help. And on the proud shalt thou cast thine eyes.

For no man shall be suffered to go into judgment with God. Many a one, yea innumerable doth he punish, and setteth others in their stead. For he knoweth their evil and dark works: therefore shall they be destroyed. read more.
They that were in the stead of Seers, dealt like ungodly men. Therefore turned they back traitorously and unfaithfully from him, and would not receive his ways. Insomuch that they have caused the voice of the poor to come unto him, and now he heareth the complaint of such as are in necessity.


All the days of the poor are miserable; but a quiet heart is as a continual feast.

See that thou rob not the poor because he is weak, and oppress not the simple in judgment; for the LORD himself will defend their cause, and do violence unto them that have used violence.




Lest they being drunken forget the law, and regard not the cause of the poor, and of all such as be in adversity.


Then let his father and his mother take him and bring him out unto the elders of that city and unto the gate of that same place,

Judges and officers thou shalt make thee in all thy cities, which the LORD thy God giveth thee throughout thy tribes: And let them judge the people righteously.

And the slayer shall flee unto one of those Cities and shall stand in the entering of the gate of the city and shall show his cause in the ears of the elders of the said city. And they shall take him into the city unto them, and shall give him a place that he may dwell among them.

Then let the father of the damsel and the mother bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity, unto the elders of the city, even unto the gate.

Then went Boaz unto the gate and sat him down there. And behold, the kinsman of which Boaz spake came by. Unto whom he said, "Come and sit down here, and called him by his name." And he turned in and sat down.

Now the things that ye shall do, are these: Speak every man the truth unto his neighbour, execute judgment truly, and peaceably within your ports,

Thou shalt not hinder the right of the poor that are among you in their suit.




Thou shalt not defraud a hired servant that is needy and poor, whether he be of thy brethren or a stranger that is in thy land within thy cities.



"Thus sayeth the LORD of Hosts, 'Execute true judgment, and show mercy and loving-kindness, every man to his brother. Do the widow, the fatherless, the stranger, and poor no wrong: and let no man imagine evil against his brother in his heart."




The other said, "Which?" And Jesus said, "Thou shalt not kill: thou shalt not break wedlock. Thou shall not steal: thou shalt not bear false witness.

Owe nothing to any man: but to love one another. For he that loveth another, fulfilleth the law. For these commandments: Thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, thou shalt not desire, and so forth: if there be any other commandment, they are all comprehended in this saying, "Love thine neighbor as thyself."
