Wherefore, brethren, give the more diligence for to make your calling and election sure. For if ye do such things, ye shall never err.
The sluggard would fain have, and cannot get his desire; but the soul of the diligent shall have plenty.
In every labour there is some profit; but only vain words bringeth forth penury.
and that ye study to be quiet, and to meddle with your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you: that ye may behave yourselves honestly toward them that are without and that nothing be lacking unto you.
Let him that stole, steal no more; but let him rather labour with his hands some good thing, that he may have to give unto him that needeth.
He that tilleth his land, shall have plenteousness of bread; but he that followeth idleness, is a very fool.
But rather, seek ye first the kingdom of heaven, and the righteousness thereof; and all these things shall be ministered unto you.
For he that is entered into his rest doth cease from his own works, as God did from his. Let us study therefore to enter into that rest; lest any man fall, after the same example, into unbelief:

For God is not unrighteous that he should forget your work and labour that proceedeth of love, which love showed in his name, which have ministered unto the saints, and yet minister.
